Thanks..and Giving

We had such a great Thanksgiving.  It was small…Josh, Barbara, the kids and me, but we had a good time.  Kiser and Boston helped me make the squash casserole, which was fabulous and we laid around and enjoyed the fullness of the holiday.  Aren’t the boys just wonderful!

We talked about Thankfulness in church today.  [...]

Tears….for a Nation lost!

As I sit with my head in my hands this dreadful morning, all I can do is cry.

My heart is broken for the future of our country and for the future of our children.  For the future of our military and for the future of the hard working American.
A Mercy Me song comes to mind.
Why would [...]

Do I sing?

Oh the words that come out of my mouth at times!!!  This weekend, Megan (Pastor Mikes daughter) talked about taming the tongue.  Using it both to build up our lives by speaking goodness into them, but also by doing evil.  Basically it was speak up and shut up!
Speaking up is not [...]

Are you robbing God?

It has been quite some time since my last post.  I have started back to school and finding time to do anything but study is a joy.  Now that I have managed to figure out my schedule, I have decided to catch back up to life!!
Let me start by saying that I am not a [...]

The Sweet Spot

Observe the commands of the Lord your God, walking in his ways and revering him.  For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land – a land with streams and pools of water, with springs flowing in the valleys and hills;

a land with wheat and barley, vines and fig trees, pomegranates, olive [...]

Go Ye Into the World

“All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”   ~Edmund Burke~
This quote started off the message on Sunday.  Isn’t is so true?  We don’t have to work at evil, it comes “all natural.”  But what is worse… by doing NOTHING, evil still triumphs. We must “go ye into the world…” [...]

Sweet Baby Isiah

So this is a picture of Isiah and his mother, Josh’s sister, Jenny.  We recently found out that Isiah has a rare genetic syndrome call “Hurler’s Syndrome.”  Without a bone marrow transplant and chemotherapy, Isiah will sure suffer and eventually die .
Hurler’s Syndrome is a disorder that keeps his blood cells from making [...]

Grown up Girlfriends

So…I joined a small group at my church.  This is the first small group I have ever been apart of and can’t wait to dive in.  I am super excited about it for the chance to meet some new “girl” friends but mostly, I hope it will push and motivate me to get more serious [...]

Thank you George W.!!

Really, George W. has nothing to do with it.  All the credit and thanks…I am giving to my Mighty God!!!
Now I know what you all must be thinking! George Bush has EVERYTHING to do with it.  He issued the stimulus checks and gave every tax paying American the beautiful gift of getting some of our [...]

Trusting & Believing

So, to make the long story short…I didn’t get the full time job!  Can you say Bummed?  Well I was incredibly bummed. So much so, that I maybe even shed a tiny tear.  But…EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON!
I talked to Sara today.  Sara is the lady I interviewed with for the part time job. She [...]
